Dispute Resolution
Effective Date: July 31, 2026
Last Updated: July 31, 2026
Applies To: All orders placed on this website
Our Approach
We would rather resolve an issue than allow it to become a prolonged dispute.
We provide digital service manuals, workshop repair guides, and other vehicle repair documentation. Because digital delivery takes place online and customer questions can involve specific issues such as vehicle compatibility, incorrect files, download problems, listing information, or order fulfilment, we have established a straightforward dispute process designed to ensure that each matter is reviewed carefully and addressed as quickly as reasonably possible.
Every dispute starts the same way: you tell us what happened, we review your order and the relevant account or delivery information, and we respond with either a proposed resolution or a request for additional information. Many disputes can be resolved at this stage without further escalation.
This page also explains the options available if we are unable to reach an agreement directly, including relevant consumer protection rights and independent complaint or dispute options that may be available depending on your country of residence.
First Point of Contact: Directly with our support team
Acknowledgement Time: Within 1 business day
Typical Resolution Time: Within 5–10 business days
Cost to Raise a Dispute: No charge
Escalation Options: Regulator, ADR body, payment provider, tribunal, or court where applicable
Applicable Markets: United States, United Kingdom, Australia, and Canada
How a Dispute Moves From Message to Resolution
1. Contact Us With Your Order Details
Email us at contact@servicemanualexperts.com or use the live chat available on the website.
Please include your order number, the vehicle the manual was purchased for, and a clear description of the problem. If the issue concerns a download, please also provide a screenshot, file name, or error message where applicable.
You do not need to use a particular form or template to submit a dispute.
2. We Acknowledge and Review Your Dispute
We aim to reply within one business day to confirm that your message has been received.
A member of our support team will then review the relevant order information, the product description associated with your purchase, and available delivery or download information to understand what happened.
3. We Respond With a Resolution
Depending on the circumstances, the resolution may include providing a corrected or functioning file, arranging an eligible replacement, issuing a full or partial refund in accordance with our Refund Policy, correcting inaccurate information, or explaining why we believe the order was properly fulfilled.
We aim to complete the review and provide a substantive response within 5–10 business days of your initial dispute message.
4. If You Disagree With Our Decision
If you are not satisfied with our response, reply to the original communication and explain why you disagree.
A further review may then be conducted. If we remain unable to reach an agreement, we will confirm our position in writing and explain the independent options that may be available to you based on your country of residence.
Disputes About Digital Manuals and Repair Documentation
Wrong or Mismatched Manual
If the manual you received does not correspond to the vehicle, engine, model, year, trim, or edition described in the product listing you purchased, contact us with the relevant vehicle information.
Where appropriate, we will compare the information provided at the time of purchase with the delivered file and determine the appropriate resolution. Depending on the circumstances, this may include providing an appropriate replacement file or issuing a refund in accordance with our Refund Policy.
File Will Not Open or Download
Technical delivery problems, including a broken download link, damaged file, or download that does not complete properly, are treated as delivery or fulfilment issues.
Please contact us with the device and browser you used and provide any error message displayed. We will review the problem and, where reasonably possible, provide an appropriate solution.
Cancellations Before Digital Delivery
If you contact us before your file has been generated or your download link has been issued, we can generally review the cancellation request and determine whether a full refund is appropriate.
Once digital content has been delivered or a download link has been accessed, cancellation rights may be more limited depending on applicable law and the circumstances of the order. Please review our Refund Policy and the applicable regional information below.
Before You File a Chargeback
You always have the right to raise a payment dispute or chargeback with your card issuer or payment provider where permitted. Nothing in this policy removes or limits any right you may have under applicable law or the rules of your payment provider.
Where practical, we ask that you contact us first because many genuine order issues can be reviewed and resolved directly without waiting for a payment provider investigation.
Contacting us before raising a chargeback does not waive or reduce your right to contact your card issuer, payment provider, regulator, ADR provider, tribunal, or court where those options are available to you.
If you have already submitted a chargeback, that is your right. We will respond through the applicable payment network process and you may also contact us directly if you would like us to review the underlying order issue.

Full Dispute Resolution Policy
1. Scope of This Policy
This policy applies to disagreements arising from an order for a digital service manual, workshop repair guide, or other repair documentation purchased through this website.
It may cover disputes involving product descriptions, vehicle compatibility, order fulfilment, digital file delivery, billing, refunds, and related customer service matters.
This policy applies to customers located in the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, and Canada.
This policy operates alongside, and does not replace or reduce, our other applicable policies or any statutory rights you may have under the laws of your country or region.
2. How to Start a Dispute
Email contact@servicemanualexperts.com or use the live chat available on the website.
Please provide your order number, the email address used at checkout, the vehicle information relevant to the purchase, and a clear description of the issue.
Where helpful, you may also provide screenshots, error messages, or other information that can assist us in reviewing the matter.
There is no fee to raise a dispute with us, and you do not need legal representation to submit a complaint.
3. Response and Resolution Timeframes
We aim to acknowledge disputes within one business day of receiving them.
We generally aim to provide a substantive response, such as a refund decision, corrected file, replacement solution, or explanation of our position, within 5–10 business days of receiving the initial dispute.
The time required may vary depending on the complexity of the matter and the information required to investigate it.
If additional time is reasonably required, we will inform you and provide an updated estimate where possible.
4. Cancellation and Withdrawal Rights for Digital Content
Because the products covered by this policy are supplied as digital downloads, cancellation rights can differ depending on your location and whether digital content has already been delivered or accessed.
United States: There is no general federal cooling-off period applicable to all online digital purchases. Requests made before digital delivery will be reviewed for cancellation and refund eligibility. Once digital content has been delivered, our Refund Policy governs the applicable refund process, subject to any rights provided by applicable law.
United Kingdom: Digital content cancellation rights may be affected once delivery or downloading begins, subject to applicable consumer law requirements and the circumstances of the transaction. Your rights regarding digital content that is not as described, faulty, or otherwise fails to meet applicable legal standards remain unaffected.
Australia: There is no general statutory cooling-off period for all digital content purchased online. Consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law may apply, including guarantees concerning acceptable quality and fitness for purpose.
Canada: Internet purchase cancellation rights can vary according to provincial or territorial legislation. Applicable rights may depend on the circumstances of the transaction and whether required information was provided before purchase. Where digital content has already been delivered or accessed, our Refund Policy sets out our process for reviewing cancellation and refund requests, subject to applicable law.
5. Escalation if We Cannot Agree
If you remain dissatisfied after our review process, we will confirm our position in writing.
You may then consider the independent complaint, alternative dispute resolution, regulator, tribunal, payment provider, or court options available in your country or region.
You are not required to use a particular ADR scheme unless applicable law requires otherwise.
We do not currently commit to binding arbitration outside a court or process that is otherwise legally applicable to the dispute.
6. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
You are free to raise a chargeback or payment dispute with your card issuer or payment provider where permitted.
We ask that you contact us first where practical because genuine order issues can often be resolved directly and more efficiently.
If a chargeback or payment dispute has already been opened, we will respond through the applicable payment network or payment provider process and may provide relevant order information, delivery records, and correspondence as required.
7. Disputes We Cannot Resolve Through This Process
This process is intended for genuine disagreements relating to an order.
We may redirect matters involving suspected fraudulent payment activity, misuse of payment credentials, abusive or inaccurate dispute activity, or requests for content that we are unable to lawfully or legitimately supply to the appropriate account security, payment, or compliance process.
This does not remove or restrict any statutory rights that apply to you.
8. Recordkeeping and Confidentiality
We may retain records of dispute correspondence and outcomes for as long as reasonably necessary for accounting, legal, compliance, customer service, and quality-assurance purposes, consistent with our Privacy Policy.
Information provided during a dispute is used to investigate and resolve the matter and may be shared with third parties only where reasonably necessary to process a refund, respond to a payment dispute, protect against fraud, or comply with a legal obligation.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy when our procedures, product offerings, or applicable consumer protection requirements change.
The Effective Date and Last Updated information at the beginning of this page will reflect the current version.
Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date.
